This is my /now page — a snapshot of what I'm focused on at this point in my life.

Videra Health

Most of my energy goes here. We're scaling our AI-powered clinical platform — Ava for patient engagement and Sidekick for clinical documentation. I'm also leading AI implementation on Compassion in Motion, a research collaboration with LSU Health Sciences Center and the University of New Orleans funded by the AMA. CiM is a mobile AI coaching and simulation platform that helps physician learners practice and refine difficult patient conversations — supported by virtual patient avatars and an AI coach grounded in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and perspective-taking. It's the kind of project where everything I've built over three decades comes together.

Writing a book

I'm deep into writing my first book — drawing on nearly thirty years of building at the intersection of technology and human problems. What I've learned, where AI in healthcare is actually headed, and what most people get wrong about it. More on the book page.

Thinking in public

After years of heads-down building, I'm making a deliberate effort to share more publicly — writing, speaking, and connecting with others who care about using technology to improve how we deliver care.

Family

Still the most important work. Living in Salt Lake City and trying to be as present as the rest of this list allows.
